So I found this awesome site called Yes Asia. They have quality manga for sale for cheap! So I went ahead and ordered 6 volumes of Nichijou. They arrived today. I opened volume 1 and lo and behold: it's in Chinese. Now, I was pretty pissed right about now. I thought they made a crazy mistake or they pulled a fast one on me. So I went back to the website and looked up 'Nichijou' and guess what? The hierarchy says "Chinese comics."
WHAT THE HECK
The Nichijou cover is still the same as the Japanese cover, so I didn't even consider it a possibility that it wasn't Japanese. I went and browsed some more. Originally I was going to buy some volumes of Mitsudomoe, but I decided to go with Nichijou. Going back, the Mitsudomoe manga are under the label 'Japanese comics.' Should've went with the Mitsudomoe.
I read through the return policy:
[link]And apparently, they don't accept returns of even unopened comics. So I'm stuck with these unreadable Nichijou comics in Chinese...
On the bright side, they arrived pretty quickly and in great condition. So, the lesson here is to make sure you know what language the stuff you're buying is in.
I would buy books in Japanese as well. Not so much of English since some of the contexts are lost in it.
h-heheh, but you're such a good person, doing the legit thing and buying the mangas instead of reading online
like me //shotBut yes, next time it'd be good to check and also check the return policy~
I recommend shopping bk1,
they have cheap shipping & they're a Japanese store so everything is Japanese. I buy all my manga there<3
I'll definitely be checking return policies from now on.
And before that, I'll be checking to make sure the manga I buy is in JAPANESE.
And thanks for the tip. I found the website. I'll give it a try next time! >:3
